The Last Moments of 2008

nye-2009

Dear 2008:

It’s been a good year for me, personally.  I’ve lost some weight. I quit drinking and sweets. I got complete with a past relationship. I loved my life. I created some things.  I destroyed some things. The year had ups and downs, people died. Elections were won and lost. Dreams came true and were dashed. It started with a bang and is ending in it’s own way.

It’s all how life goes.

So at the end of this year, with all that I have gone through, I say thank you, 2008.

You were not the easiest year. You definitely kicked my ass a few times. But I also grew greatly inside of you. We all learned a lot. I learned and cried. The world ended and new worlds began.

My request for 2009:

Let’s have this one shine brightly. Let’s all together accept a magical year.  Let’s all allow what changes will come and embrace the growth no matter how it looks at the time. Let’s dance, huh? And to those who were spanked hard in 08, can you cut them some slack this year? Give them some goodies?

My predictions for 2009:

Big economic changes. I expect this time next year, things will be very different with the money in your pocket. Really don’t worry, it’s all going to be okay.

Love. It’s going to be the year of big love all around. Bigger than we have ever known. I’m just saying. Think explosive expansion of the ways you even comprehend love.

Politics Nouveau.  It’s gonna be off the hook, yo. Expect big big changes in the way politics occurs for us americans. A new era of trust is emerging.

Innovation. I don’t know why, but I think there is going to be a huge breakthrough in energy.  I am talking an order of magnitude of power for output. Like the kind of jump that we had when we went from human power to the steam engine. This will spark massive changes in culture that we cannot even comprehend right now. It will change the way we live. Think quantum teleportation level of wowee.

Abundance in scarcity.  New beginnings.  Giant steps forward. Love rising.

Bring it on, 2009!
