Best. Wedding. Ever.
So, my dear friends, Katie and Brian got hitched today. To those that know them, it really couldn’t have been any better. Their love is so amazing. The wedding was a family affair bringing together two amazing families and some pretty incredible friends from both sides. Wolfie was the minister and totally rocked it. I was so proud of everyone involved. It was on a idyllic beach named after the groom. The Do Lab did the deco. The reception was on a great 100′ yacht. It was awesome. I had a great day.
Wolfie told some great stories about Katie and Brian, including one about how he and Katie created one another as a “catch” shortly before they met the love of their lives, and that their listening of each other empowered the other to attract Katie’s now husband and Wolfie’s wonderful girlfriend Jenny.
But I got called out.
At the end of the ceremony, Wolfie calls me up in front of all the people. I figure, he’s going to ask me to say something, or he’s going to say something to me… I don’t know, but I go along with it.
“So all you single women out there, I want you to knwo something. This is Eric. He’s single. And he’s a CATCH.”
Beet red. They didn’t throw any bouquets, instead they had just thrown me. About as good an endorsement as a guy can get, really. Although, in out crowd, I got a few more propositions from the men than the girls. But I’m not going to make that mean anything. I was really touched and am interested to see what Wolfie and Katie’s little bit of meme-jacking about my single status will do.
But a good catch implies a pretty good chase as well. So we shall see.
